NOVA / EQUIPMENT & TECHNICAL SUPPORT

HOW IT FITS THE OPERATION
Connect separation, handling and process equipment.
Production facilities manage streams that can contain oil, water, gas and solids. Equipment is used at different stages to separate, handle, contain or control those streams. The purpose of an individual unit becomes clearer when it is viewed within the process sequence and its associated interfaces.
NOVA’s production portfolio includes separators, process vessels, heaters, dehydration equipment and associated items. Pumps, valves, tanks and flare equipment may sit alongside those units within the facility scope. The equipment discussion should therefore connect the process objective with the proposed package, without assuming every project requires the same arrangement.
APPLICATION CONTEXT
Production and separation
Separators and related vessels are discussed around the characteristics of the stream and the required process function. Throughput, pressure, temperature and the intended separation outcome form part of the application context.
APPLICATION CONTEXT
Water and solids handling
Treatment and handling requirements depend on what enters the system and what happens to each resulting stream. Water recovery and reuse are considered separately as a developing, project-specific service.
APPLICATION CONTEXT
Supporting systems
Controls, utilities, valves, pumps and associated items connect the main equipment with the facility. Clear package boundaries help bring these supporting requirements into the same technical discussion.
Production & separation
The process-equipment range includes mobile, vertical and horizontal separators; heaters and treaters; free-water knockouts; gas-production units; and crude-dehydration and desalting technologies. Bulk-water separation, dynamic oil recovery, gas/liquid separation and gas/particle separation form part of the wider technology scope. Define the stream composition, throughput, pressure, temperature and required separation outcome when reviewing the equipment arrangement.
Water & solids management
The original portfolio includes four-phase separators, hydrocyclones, sand transport and cleaning equipment, and online mechanical sand-removal arrangements. Review how oil, water, gas and solids move through the facility and how each separated stream will be handled. Changes in water production and solids loading can alter the required process scope as a field matures. Equipment configuration, operating limits and maintenance requirements are confirmed for the duty.
Connected equipment
Supporting equipment families include reciprocating multiplex plunger pumps and parts, multistage surface pumps, tanks, pressure vessels and flare stacks. Normal and engineered chokes, actuated control valves and other valves connect the process equipment with the facility. Agree package boundaries, controls, utilities and process interfaces for the proposed supply.

Browse the existing process-equipment brochure for an introduction to the equipment portfolio. Discuss the stream conditions, required duty and proposed supply scope before selecting a configuration.
Existing reference documents. Product suitability, current availability and the final technical scope are confirmed for each enquiry.
Connect equipment selection with the process requirement
Describe the process objective
Explain the function of the proposed equipment within the production system, such as separation, water treatment or solids management. Share the stream information and operating conditions available to your team, and identify the required outcome in terms your project has established. If the enquiry concerns an existing facility, describe the current arrangement and the reason for change. A process sketch can help show how the equipment connects with other stages.
Identify interfaces and documentation
State which parts of the package are included in the request and which remain outside the supply boundary. Include available utility information, process connections, controls and layout requirements. Identify the documentation and testing requirements specified by your project without assuming that all equipment families share the same standard scope. When details are still provisional, mark them clearly so the next discussion can focus on the information needed to develop a coordinated equipment requirement.
