A pumping requirement may involve more than the pump itself. The motor or drive, baseplate, pipe connections, instruments and control interface can all affect the package scope. Begin by identifying the fluid service and the function of the equipment, then distinguish what is being supplied from what will remain part of the existing installation. This helps make comparisons between equipment options clearer and reduces ambiguity in a quotation request.
Define the interfaces early
Share the required capacity, available suction conditions, discharge requirement and the fluid information available to your team. Include the proposed site layout, power supply and any restrictions on footprint or access.
